I'm sitting here in the library finally tackling work that I said I would never be able to do. I feel so inspired and not only that, but people are responding to it.
This blog is not organized, but maybe that wasn't the purpose. The purpose was to connect. To feel free and grow. And it's at this point, that I feel a sense of power and responsibility.
To get up and move. To stay on my vision. To do whatever it takes to be the man I want to be!

Journey On
This entry is specifically for my momentum family.
I am 1 day and 10 hours away from Leadership. I cannot being comprehend the perception change I've had since May thanks to you guys. Ranging from members, staff, Francisco or Sylvia, and even the angels on stretch night, you all have moved me and inspired me. You not only help me find myself again, but taught me to actually evolve. I can only express what I feel in writing, so here goes:
Darkest cave,
without sight.
Man breaths,
alive at night.
Oxygen lowers,
future looks grim.
Useless hopes,
starts to stem.
Dreams of fancy,
they all die.
Frightening nightmares,
come alive...
Sudden moment!
light does land.
Warm rays,
that feel grand.
Lonely feelings,
are now gone.
Feeling life,
born from dawn.
Giving me strength...to journey on.
This song also represents what you guys mean to me. You've given me a place that "feels like home":

Time for some backstory..
So, let me take sometime today to explain my backstory.
My name is Claudio. I'm a Chilean-American born in Chile. For those who don't know the country, here's an image for emotional impact:

Glorious :)
And now, I live Philadelphia:

Again, Glorious :)
These two places represent an important part of my perception of the world today. Even when looking at these two images, it's hard not to see the drastic changes.
Growing up in these two cities definitely gave me a unique perspective on lifestyle, culture, and religion. At the age of 5, I came into the classroom, unable to speak english and in one month, I started getting the hang of it. This was mainly from watching WAY to much TV, especially on Saturday (90s kids, you know what I mean). This first classroom was in a catholic middle school on the edge of the schukill in an Irish American neighborhood. After that, it went from catholic middle school to Lower Merion High School, where 80% of the students were Jewish in a jewish community.
Talk about another shift. On the outside, this might not seem like an interesting shift perspective, but added on to everything I've experienced, these perspectives definetly influenced certain events in getting to know people or seeing things happen to my peers. Add this on to my own experiences and there is a story behind this.
(This journal has already taken 3 days, so I'll end it here for now :) )
